Ben Groff is a public affairs consultant with more than five years of experience advising campaigns, public officials, and businesses who need a strategic edge. He specializes in government relations, media strategy, and policy development, but he’s most passionate about implementing well-designed plans. A graduate of Paul Smith’s College of the Adirondacks and Maryland Law, he’s not afraid to take the road less traveled or make a stand against difficult odds. Past efforts include Bill Henry’s successful bid for Baltimore City Comptroller, re-electing City Councilman Ryan Dorsey, and passing ballot questions creating Baltimore’s Office of the Inspector General and Baltimore County’s public campaign financing program.
Ashiah Parker is a longtime resident of the Sandtown neighborhood in Central West Baltimore, and is committed to making her neighborhood and Baltimore City a better place. Her work at Tidemore includes ensuring the firm’s policy and politics line up with the values of our community. She also brings extensive experience in 501(c)(3) management as well as financial oversight and compliance for government spending. Her executive, coalition building, and project management skills are a vital asset to Tidemore’s advocacy and electoral campaigns. Ms. Parker holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and lives with her two children, Aaliyah and Jeremiah and her partner, Keith.
A product of the University of Maryland School of Law, Ben takes pride in centering his work on forward-looking public policy and crafting persuasive, targeted communication campaigns across traditional and digital media platforms. A former Executive Director of the Maryland Democratic Party, he led reforms that continue to shape Party operations such as its year round organizing staff, small dollar donor program, and complete rebrand of collateral. Since Tidemore’s founding in 2016, Ben’s helped guide 12 candidates to office for the first time or elevate to higher office. He takes special joy in advising electeds, candidates, and causes facing principle-driven uphill battles. His client portfolio includes statewide and national advocacy organizations focused on implementing progressive solutions to wealth disparity, public health challenges, and the myriad issues stemming from land use.
